I am a Clinical Neuropsychologist based in Boston, Massachusetts.
My goal is to build a warm and affirming environment in which everyone feels welcome and valued. I believe strongly in the importance of identifying your strengths, cultivating hope, and adopting a solution-oriented mindset.
My Story
I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Child Development from Boston’s Tufts University. Committed to the pursuit of a career in neuropsychology, I returned to my home in Houston, Texas to earn a doctorate in clinical psychology from the University of Houston, with a specialization in adult neuropsychology. My doctoral research focused on the overlap between neurological and psychological conditions.
During my one-year internship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, I trained in a variety of settings, including an inpatient brain injury rehabilitation unit, a geriatric neuropsychology clinic, primary care, a children’s hospital, and a medical/surgical unit. I then completed a two-year neuropsychology postdoctoral fellowship at the VA Maryland Healthcare System. I specialized in dementia during my first year and cognitive rehabilitation during the second.
For the past four years, I was part of a multidisciplinary private practice in Boston, where I provided neuropsychological assessment, cognitive rehabilitation, and psychotherapy to adolescents and adults with a wide range of presenting concerns. During that time, I honed my skills in assessment and treatment of neurodevelopmental disorders, like AD/HD, learning disorders, and autism spectrum disorders.
Across time and settings, I refined my expertise in the link between cognitive and psychological symptoms. This has fueled my passion for helping adolescents and adults develop insight, regulate emotion, strengthen relationships, and improve efficiency in their work or academics.
That’s my story. I’d love to hear yours.
