Cognitive Rehabilitation
Cognitive rehabilitation therapy (CRT) is for individuals who wish to improve their cognitive functioning at work, or in school and in their daily lives. To determine whether CRT is right for you, here are some possible goals:
Reduce distractibility
Improve organization of your desk, inbox, or home
Improve time estimation and management
Implement systems to improve memory for tasks and appointments
Improve your ability to initiate and complete tasks
Using neuropsychological evaluation results, I help clients better understand their strengths and vulnerabilities. We will work together to develop an individualized treatment plan to improve attention, memory, and executive functioning. I am particularly committed to helping clients who struggle with procrastination and task completion.
Ultimately, I offer a two-pronged approach: 1) development of psychological insight and 2) implementation of practical problem-solving and organizational techniques. This combination allows my clients to overcome self-doubt, anxiety, disorganization, and/or procrastination to identify and accomplish meaningful goals.
